معنی کلمه :‌ scallion

A kind of small onion (Allium Ascalonicum), native of Palestine; the eschalot, or shallot.

Any onion which does not "bottom out," but remains with a thick stem like a leek.

A pit in the form of an inverted cone or pyramid, constructed as an obstacle to the approach of an enemy, and having a pointed stake in the middle. The pits are called also trapholes.
